Man who died after being rescued off Laie Point is identified
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death for a 38-year-old man who was retrieved from the ocean off Laie Point Sunday night, but later died at the hospital, police said.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Tupovata Uluave, of Mountin View, Calif.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m.
Emergency Medical Services said two people were in the water at the time.
A 26-year-old man also was treated at the scene, but refused transportation to the hospital.

When an accident happens it is valuable for us all to learn from what went wrong [assuming that something could have been different]. This kind of article only provokes questions?
That area is usually very rough water….did he fall in or deliberately go in on his own accord…..not enough info….
