Lifeguards reopen Hanalei Bay on Kauai after shark sighting
Lifeguards have reopened Hanalei Bay to swimming today after they saw no sharks.
Ocean safety officials closed the bay at approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday after lifeguards reported a six-foot shark was observed near a surf spot called “Grandpa’s” fronting the Anae Road beach parking lot.
Signs were posted on the beach warning the public to stay out of the water.
