Hawaii island police arrest 3, seize 124 machines, cash in gambling raids
Hawaii County police announced today they seized 124 alleged gambling machines and $150,000 Tuesday at various locations around the island.
County police were assisted by Homeland Security, Honolulu police and the Hawaii County prosecutor’s office investigators when they executed nine search warrants Tuesday at seven businesses and two homes connected with alleged illegal gambling operations. The locations were in Hilo, Kona, Waimea and Honokaa.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of gambling, police said. They include a 30-year-old Kailua-Kona man, a 22-year-old Kailua-Kona woman and a 36-year-old Honokaa man.
They were released pending further investigation.
Police said one of the Hilo establishments was located on Kawailani Street, which was incorrectly identified Tuesday as being located on Lanikaula Street.

That’s a lot of machines to be a small time operation plus much capital investment. Organized or what? Can’t figure big-time gambling on the Big “Island?
Probably tipped off by Boyd’s Gambling and the Californian. Gotta keep these Island clean of gambling–Las Vegas needs our money.
