Boy, 13, charged with robbing girl, 12, in Makiki
A 13-year-old boy was charged Thursday with robbing a 12-year-old girl in Makiki on Tuesday.
The boy allegedly used a dangerous instrument to rob the girl on a Makiki sidewalk Tuesday.
Officers responding to a separate call for an abuse case about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday recognized the boy as a robbery suspect. The boy was positively identified and arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

What’s a 12yr old girl doing out at 11:15 pm? Am I still in the dark ages, but don’t we have a curfew law for children??
Curfew or no curfew it’s all on the other kid — who shouldn’t have been out either.
Was safe for us kids to stay out late back in the 1960s. We never even had to lock our house, too.
As usual, a poorly written SA story leaves the reader with more befuddled than before they read the article. The SA never gives us the time element of the robbery. The 11:15 pm time was the time of arrest, when the cops were at another case (it doesn’t even say if the kid was involved in the abuse case or if some quick thinking cop saw him on the street as the cop was responding to the abuse case).
Crime occurred on Tuesday. Arrest was made Wednesday night at 11:15pm.
Breaking news is always not complete. You rather have the media wait until tomorrow to bring you the news?
jeff,the article did not say when the robbery occurred on Tuesday. However, they located the suspect Wednesday @ 1115pm.
Where are both sets of parents?……….shame on them!
Why are you blaming the victim? This could have happened during daylight hours. The story just tells us what time the arrest was made, not the time the robbery went down.
