Police seek public’s help in finding downtown bank robber
Police and CrimeStoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man, wearing a bright aloha shirt and dark shorts, who robbed the main branch of First Hawaiian Bank on Tuesday.
Police said the suspect entered the bank on King and Bishop streets, approached a teller, handed a demand note and stated he had a weapon just before 4 p.m.
Police said the suspect is in his 40s, 5-feet-7 inches and about 240 pounds. He has brown eyes, and was wearing an aloha shirt, blue denim shorts, a black cap and carrying a black backpack.
He fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME using a cell phone. Anonymous tips can now also be sent by texting “CS808” plus your message to 274637 (or CRIMES).

HOW’S ABOUT A LINK TO THE CRIMESTOPPERS BULLETIN?!? AND A PICTURE OF THE PERP. GOODNESS, THIS IS SO ELEMENTARY…..
That has to be the worst security cam pic I’ve ever seen. Even a toy camera could take a better one. What’s the use of having a security cam if the output looks like a blurry paint-by-colors picture?
agree..he may be homeless. Homeless crime is on the upswing.
Scary area!
c’mon man are you serious the main branch!!
definitely was brazen or stupid of him… but yes, the footage is sure ridiculous…
hope they get em !!
