Kayaker in critical condition after accident in Molokai waters
A man was left in critical condition today after he and a female companion were knocked off their kayak while paddling in waters off Moloka‘i’s One Alii Park.
A witness told firefighters that the couple had attempted to paddle beyond the surf break but were knocked over by higher than normal surf shortly after 10:30 a.m.
Firefighters searching the area on watercraft located the woman and brought her safely aboard. They located the man, who was face down in the water, in the surf zone. Both were brought to shore around 11:10 a.m.
Paramedics transported the man in critical condition to Molokai General Hospital.

Personal flotation devices, like a life vest, would have saved his life. Sad. RIP my brother.
