The University of Hawaii’s first spaceflight and microsatellite delivery has been pushed to today, according to a launch official.
“We are approved to proceed for launch,” flight representative Kim Adams said. The launch most recently had been set for Monday but has been delayed multiple times.
The 55-foot “Super Strypi” rocket will be sent into low-Earth orbit from a 135-foot rail launcher at the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kauai in a demonstration of economical satellite launches for the Air Force.
It also represents the first satellite launch for the state.
