Police arrest suspect in attempted murder case
A 42-year-old homeless man is in police custody in connection with the multiple shooting of a 25-year-old man last month who drove himself to Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
Police said Kele Stout drove himself to the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center about 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 16 with numerous gunshot wounds.
Stout apparently was able to identify the suspect who was arrested at a Waianae address at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
Earlier this month, CrimeStoppers released a sketch of the suspected shooter.
Stout had more than five gunshot wounds in an area that could not have been self-inflicted, police said.
No charges have been filed.
