Hawaii island police charged a 35-year-old Illinois man Saturday in connection with the discovery of a deceased woman found fronting a business off Kamehameha Avenue in Hilo early Friday morning. 

Curtis Hodges was charged with second-degree murder. His bail was set at $500,000. He is being held at the Hilo Police Station Cellblock pending his initial court appearance. Hodges may face additional charges, which are pending forensic laboratory testing. 

The victim in this case has been identified through fingerprints. However, detectives are still attempting to locate next of kin.
