A Pahoa woman who allegedly rammed a state ranger’s vehicle on Mauna Kea on Sunday has been arrested again for allegedly being disruptive and removing her clothing on the volcano.

Police said Cynthia Marlin has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with her 10:30 p.m. arrest Monday. Her bail was set at $1,000. She remained in Hilo police custody overnight and was scheduled to make a court appearance Tuesday.

Police said officers were sent to a call about a woman yelling on Mauna Kea Access Road at about 9:20 p.m. Monday. Police said officers were told Marlin had been disruptive to a group protesting the proposed Thirty Meter Telescope and that she had briefly removed her clothing.

At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Marlin drove up to a ranger and two sheriffs on Mauna Kea and argued with them for not allowing her to ascend the mountain, according to the attorney general’s office.

She then drove her car into an Office of Mauna Kea Management ranger’s vehicle, causing minor damage, the statement said. No injuries were reported.

Marlin was arrested and charged with criminal property damage and obstruction. She posted $500 bail Sunday.

Marlin was a Libertarian Party candidate for lieutenant governor in 2014.
