Police are looking for a man in his 20s who allegedly robbed a woman of her Versace necklace at Boda Cafe in the Ala Moana area in May.
Police said the man asked to try on the woman’s Versace necklace, took several photos of himself wearing it and then allegedly hit her and fled May 21.
The two had met previously at Boda Cafe on Hopaka Street, police said.
The man is possibly named Tony or Tommy and is between 20 and 30 years old, is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 140 to 160 pounds, with short dreadlocks, brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his body.
47 fence posts stolen on Big Island
Hawaii island police are investigating the theft of 47 fence posts from county property along Hawaii Belt Road.
The theft occurred sometime between 2 p.m. July 7 and 8:30 a.m. July 9 on the Paauilo side of the 35-mile marker, police said.
The T-rail posts, each 61⁄2 feet in length and silver in color, were pulled from the ground and removed from the property.
Kayak found adrift 15 miles off Oahu
The Coast Guard is seeking the identity of the owner of a kayak found adrift 15 miles southeast of Oahu on Thursday.
Watch-standers at the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center received a report at about 5 p.m. from the owner and operator of the sailing vessel Smooth Sailing saying an unmanned, blue-and-white kayak was found adrift.
The Coast Guard has no reports of missing persons or distress in the area.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Barbers Point, and a 45-foot response boat crew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu were launched to search the area where the kayak was found.
