Man, 30, in critical condition after apparent near-drowning
Paramedics transported a 30-year-old man in critical condition to a hospital Thursday after an apparent near-drowning incident in Wakiki shoreline waters.
Ocean Safety personnel brought the man to shore shortly after 11 a.m. in an area fronting Kalakaua Avenue, near Kapahulu Avenue, and initiated CPR. Patient care was transfered to paramedics responding to the scene, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
