Maui crews put out small brush fire in Lahaina
Maui firefighters have contained a one-acre brush fire near the Lahaina Aquatic Center.
The fire was first reported around 2:05 p.m. on the mauka side of the center. A nearby construction company used a water tanker and heavy equipment to keep the blaze from spreading.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 2:43 p.m. and are continuing to monitor the area.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
