Hanalei Bay closes after shark sighting
Kauai ocean safety personnel closed Hanalei Bay after a shark sighting Thursday.
A shark about 15 feet long was spotted in the water around 4 p.m. in the area fronting Hanalei Pavilion.
The beach and public areas have been posted with “no swimming” signs and ocean users are asked to stay out of the water until further notice.
