Tunnel and freeway lane closures start Friday night
Cement pours, road repairs, rail construction and tunnel maintenance will again close lanes on the H-1 freeway and Likelike Highway this weekend.
Likelike Highway will close in the Kaneohe-bound direction near the Wilson tunnel from 7 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday while crews clean the tunnel and do routine maintenance work.
Meanwhile, cement pours continue on the H-1 freeway between the Pearl City/Waimalu offramp and Waipahu offramp in the Ewa-bound direction. Two to three lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday to pour cement and to allow the cement to dry.
Two right lanes on the H-1 freeway airport viaduct in the Ewa-bound direction will also be closed between the Keehi Interchange and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam offramp from 9 p.m. Friday until 12:01 a.m. Monday as repair work on the viaduct continues.
Lanes will also be closed on Nimitz Highway as a safety precaution for the deck repairs happening above.
