Marines used amphibious assault vehicles, which can travel 9 mph in the water and 45 mph on flat land, for Wednesday's Mud Ops exercise at the Nuupia Ponds Wildlife Management Area. After each day, the vehicles are covered with a thick coat of mud, and the Marines must clean each one.
