Officers arrest man featured on ‘Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted’
A tip from the public helped law enforcement officers Monday catch a 28-year-old Kurtistown man featured on "Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted" television program.
Hawaii County police said Isaac Kamalii, being sought for violating the terms of his release on bail in a terroristic threatening case, was arrested at a home in Hilo on Monday morning. He was also wanted for reckless endangering and for questioning in connection with vehicle break-ins and theft of vehicles, police said.
A joint task force of police and sheriff’s deputies went to a Panaewa home Monday morning on Pilipaa Street.
Kamalii fled on foot and the task force arrested him a short time later on Kilauea Avenue, about a quarter of a mile from the house.
Police arrested him on a no-bail warrant for violting the terms of his release on bail.
He was also arrested on suspicion of reckless endangering, thre counts of reckless driving, three counts of resisting an order to stop and two counts of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

Police also arrested three Hilo men, ages 42, 40 and 32, at the house. The 42-year-old was charged ona bench warrant for contempt of court, and was released after posting bail.
The 40-year-old was charged with a no-bail bench warrant for violting the terms of his supervised release.
The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault.
