Police arrested a 37-year-old man accused of threatening a 65-year-old woman with a dangerous instrument during an argument on Sunday.

The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. at a Kalihi residence.

According to police, the suspect relinquished the weapon after the victim and another person assaulted him, causing him bodily injury.

The suspect, who does not have a local address, fled but later returned and was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of abuse of a family or household member.
