Victim injured by BB gun in robbery at Maui bus stop
Maui police are looking for a man who shot a 62-year-old man with a BB gun Tuesday during a robbery in Kahului.
The suspect approached the victim at a bus stop and demanded money while brandishing what appeared to be a handgun, police said.
The suspect then shot the victim several times with the weapon, which turned out to be a BB gun, and fled on foot.
The victim was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police described the suspect as 6-foot, muscular and clean shaven with short black hair. He was wearing a light-colored shirt.
A first-degree robbery case has been opened. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 244-6425.
