Medical Examiner’s office IDs man who died in water accident

The Medical Examiner’s office has identified a 41-year-old Kapolei man who died while snorkeling Sunday at Ko Olina as Carl Wolfe.

Wolfe was pulled unconscious from waters off Aliinui Drive around 12:30 p.m. Foul play is not suspected.

Wolfe was one of four people who died during the four-day Labor Day holiday in unrelated water accidents.

 >> Dante Biacan, 38,  of Waipahu, died on Saturday after being pulled from the ocean at Malaekaha State Recreation Area. He was taken to the  hospital in extremely critical condition.

>> Leighton Mow, 17,  senior at Moanalua High School, died on Monday while on an outing with friends at Kapena Falls.

>>  Daniel Mindich, 48, an English teacher at Punahou School,  died while on Monday after being pulled from the water while participating in the 45th annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim, a 2.4 mile event. Mindich also was director of the high school’s summer school. Authorities said Mindich was half-way through the race when he ran into trouble.
