Police released a 28-year-old man, who was initially arrested in the stabbing of another man during a fight in Waimanalo Sunday night.

The man was not charged.

When he was arrested, police said the man was suspected of stabbing the 25-year-old victim just before 10 p.m. at the Kauhale Ohana public housing project on Kalanianaole Highway. The victim was treated at the scene. 

Officers arrested the 28-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree assault and released him Tuesday, pending further investigation.
