Woman arrested in Las Vegas taxi driver attack
LAS VEGAS >> Las Vegas police have arrested a woman they believe stole a taxi, robbed the driver and struck him with the cab before crashing it into other cars.
Police say 42-year-old Erica Hagan was arrested Saturday after several witnesses identified her in the May 21 attack at the downtown Plaza Hotel.
She’s being held at the Clark County jail on eight felony charges, including attempted murder, battery and robbery.
According to a police report, Hagan became violent with taxi driver Yohannes Tsegaye while riding in his cab.
Officers say Tsegaye escaped the cab after Hagan hit him on the head with a rock and stole his money.
Police say Hagan then struck him with the car several times.
