Firefighter injured at building fire in Kailua
A firefighter was slightly injured while battling a blaze in Kailua Wednesday morning that damaged two structures.
No one was home when crews responded at 10:27 a.m. to the fire on Kaha street.
The origin and cause of the fire, which was brought under control at 10:45 a.m., are still under investigation.
Thirty firefighters from six units responded to the blaze.
The firefighter’s injury was described as “a noncritical burn.”
There was no immediate information if the injured firefighter would have to be hospitalized.
