Tourist dies in waters off Kaanapali
A tourist died after he was found floating face down in the water off “Black Rock” in Kaanapali on Maui Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Ronald Sauber, 55, of Wichita, Kan.
Rescuers attempted lifesaving measures when he was brought to shore at 12:26 p.m., but Sauber died at the scene, police said.
The death is classified as an accident.
The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.
