Bomb threat interrupts Bruno Mars concert
A bomb threat briefly interrupted Bruno Mars’ third concert at the Blaisdell Arena Monday night.
Police received the threat at 9:15 p.m. interrupting Mars’ first song.
State deputy sheriffs, who were on special duty outside of the Blaisdell Arena, were notified of the bomb threat, said Toni Schwartz, Department of Public Safety spokeswoman.
The deputy sheriffs checked the area and determined it was a false alarm. Schwartz said.
The concert resumed after the area was checked and no explosive devices were found. The arena was not evacuated.
However, private security hired by the Blaisdell Arena to work inside of the facility, responded to a fight involving 10 people. Security ejected the 10 people from the arena. The fight was not related to the bomb threat, Schwartz said.
