Man carrying cash register stopped by Waikiki officer
An 18-year-old man carrying a rubbish can with a cash register inside aroused the suspicion of a Honolulu Police officer in Waikiki early Tuesday morning.
The officer stopped the suspect at about 4:30 a.m. and questioned him.
A short time later, police learned that a nearby bar, which was closed, had been burglarized.
Officers investigated and arrested the suspect on suspicion of burglary.
