The medical examiner’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying homeless men from two different cases.

About 8:15 a.m. Jan. 16, a homeless man was discovered unresponsive on a bus stop bench near Kalakaua Avenue and South King Street. The medical examiner’s office said he was pronounced dead that day. He had no visible injuries, according to investigator Jerry Rigney.

The man is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 125 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was estimated to be between 50 to 70 years old.

The man has a large vertical scar on his chest/abdomen. The medical examiner’s office said he possibly served in the military.

In the second case, a person found a homeless man unresponsive on a sidewalk at Ala Wai Park near 2132 Kapiolani Blvd. about 11:50 a.m. Jan. 30. He was pronounced dead that day.

He had no visible injuries, according to the medical examiner. The man is described as Asian, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 114 pounds with brown eyes and balding, gray hair. He was estimated to be about 55 to 75 years old.

The medical examiner’s office noted he was a possible graduate of Saint Louis School and may have served in the Air Force.
