Woman pleads not guilty in hatchet robbery
HILO >> A 25-year-old Ocean View woman suspected of using a hatchet in a robbery attempt has pleaded not guilty to robbery and assault charges.
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports Trinety Crapser entered the pleas Tuesday in Hilo and is being held on $72,000 bail.
Prosecutors say Crapser on Jan. 26 attempted to take a Corvette belonging to a woman who had stopped to place signs along South Point Road. The driver was able to gain control of the hatchet.
