“It’s good to have friends, even if you think you don’t need any.” That’s the message that awaits kids ages 5 and up in Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s production of “Auntie Martha and the Nene (Goose).”
Auntie Martha lives alone in a small house by the beach and doesn’t welcome visitors — not even the mailman. One day a nene arrives and refuses to leave. The nene turns Auntie Martha’s world upside down — and that turns out to be a good thing.
HTY company actor Maile Holck plays the reclusive auntie with Hermen “Junior” Tesoro as the postman and the nene.
