Paramedics transported two women in serious condition to a hospital this afternoon following a traffic accident in Kaneohe during which a vehicle struck a telephone pole and rolled over, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The accident occurred at about 5:45 p.m. Friday on Kamehameha Highway, near King Intermediate School, 46-155 Kamehameha Highway. The driver, a 60-year-old woman, and one passenger, a 57-year-old woman, were treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital. Paramedics transported another passenger, a 27-year-old woman, to a hospital in stable condition, EMS reported.

Police diverted traffic around the accident scene Kamehameha Highway onto Ikiiki St. from Imiloa St. and Ipuka St.
