Queen’s opens section of Ewa medical center

The State Health Planning and Development Agency approved Queen's Medical Center's application to purchast the Hawaii Medical Center-West

The Queen’s Medical Center West in Ewa, which acquired Hawaii Medical Center-West from St. Francis Healthcare System a year ago, will reopen one of its new facilities today.

The Queen’s Imaging Physician’s Office Building-West Oahu will celebrate the grand opening of the center’s x-ray and ultrasound services.

The x-ray center, located on the first floor, will be accepting patients Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. X-ray services are available on a walk-in basis, while ultrasound patients will require an appointment. Imaging patients can make an appointment by calling (808) 691- 3663.

The hospital is scheduled to open in spring 2014.

Queen’s officially acquired HMC West from St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii on Dec. 14, 2012. The campus was then named The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu.
