Heald College will celebrate its 150th anniversary next week.
On Thursday the college will hold an open house at its Kapiolani Boulevard location from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including classroom activities and a scavenger hunt.
Light pupu and entertainment are planned at 5:30 p.m., followed by a formal program.
Heald College was founded in San Francisco in 1863. Heald’s Honolulu campus dates back to the establishment in 1917 of Honolulu Business College. That was followed in 1934 by the founding of the Cannon’s School of Business.
The campus became Heald College in 1993, preparing students for careers in health care, business, legal and technology.
RSVP for the 150th anniversary celebration by calling the Heald College Career Services office at 628-5561 by Tuesday.
