Police are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed a 58-year-old man this afternoon during an attempted robbery in the Ala Moana area.

Police said the suspect approached the victim outside on the promenade behind the Hawai‘i Convention Center at 12:17 p.m. and allegedly demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect allegedly stabbed him with a deadly weapon and fled, police said.

The 58-year-old was is in serious condition with a stab wound, Emergency Medical Services officials said.
