Honolulu to host international meeting
The first-ever Joint Annual Meeting of the Pacific Area Standards Congress and the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation will take place May 18 to 26 in Honolulu.
It is a meeting hosted by the American National Standards Institute.
The meeting will unite more than 150 delegates from 20 Pacific Rim countries for discussions to shape the future path of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies.
The discussions will center on strategies to support free trade and economic growth, and fostering collaboration and the exchange of information.
“By hosting the event in Honolulu, ANSI is reaffirming the U.S. commitment to international standardization and creating opportunities for U.S. industry to participate in standards and conformance activities that promote global market access,” said S. Joe Bhatia, ANSI president and CEO.
All events will be at the Modern Honolulu hotel in Waikiki.
