Man involved in Kunia crash dies
A 60-year-old man whom paramedics took to the hospital in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash Monday morning on Kunia Road has died, police said.
Police said it is possible that the man, who drove a red Ford Ranger, suffered a medical condition before the 9:13 a.m. crash, although medical examiners have yet to make a determination.
The Ranger was heading north when it crossed the center line and crashed into a fence and overturned, police said.
The man was taken by emergency services personnel to the Pali Momi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Kunia Road from Anonui Street to Hawaii Country Club was closed for several hours during the traffic investigation but has since reopened.
The death was the 23rd recorded on Oahu roads so far this year compared to 21 at this time in 2012.
