State tax collections up 10.6% through third quarter
State tax collections are up 10.6 percent through the first nine months of the fiscal year, the state Department of Taxation announced Wednesday.
The collections are coming in higher than estimated by the state Council on Revenues, which has projected 6.7 percent growth for the fiscal year that ends in June.
General excise and use taxes are up 9.7 percent. Hotel-room taxes are up 13.3 percent. Individual income taxes are up 17.9 percent.
