Fire rescue personnel aid 4 lost hikers on Pacific Palisades trail
Honolulu fire rescue personnel came to the aid of four hikers lost after dark Monday along the Pacific Palisades trail.
The hikers called for help about 8 p.m. Firefighters located the hikers about a mile from the trailhead and prepared them for transport back to safety via helicopter, according to Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig.
As of 9:30 p.m. Monday, two of the hikers had been safely removed from the trail and the other two were awaiting transport.
None of the four hikers were injured.
