Volta offers nonprofits free advertising on EV charging kiosks
Volta Industries, a Honolulu-based company that operates an electric vehicle charging network on Oahu, said it will provide free advertising space on its charging stations to two nonprofit or community organizations to help them build awareness.
Interested groups have until Feb. 22 to submit their applications to be considered in the program, called “Awareness Powered by Volta.” Application forms are available on Volta’s web site: www.voltacharging.com.
Volta will choose three semi-finalists, and the public will select the winning group to receive three months of free advertising at a Volta’s EV charging kiosk valued at $3,000. The runner-up will receive one-month of free advertising valued at $900.
Volta offers free charging at its stations, which are located at shopping malls and other public locations. The company makes money by charging for advertising on the kiosks.
