Alston firm wins national awards
Honolulu-based law firm Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing has won Firm of the Year and Regional Impact Case of the Year awards from Benchmark Litigation, an industry rating guide.
The firm was among four in Hawaii that were nominated, AHFI said, in a statement. No other Hawaii-based firms were listed among the winners.
The Regional Impact Case of the Year award was presented for AHFI’s work in defeating state of Hawaii efforts to hold online travel companies liable for nearly $700 million in TAT, or transient accommodations taxes, otherwise known as hotel room taxes.
The awards to firms in all 50 states and in multiple litigation categories, were presented Thursday in New York City.
