Two approaching cold fronts are changing the winds and could bring rain this weekend to the Pro Bowl.

The National Weather Service says Kona winds from the southeast may bring vog and humid weather with the chance of afternoon showers beginning today into the weekend.

Winds are shifting from the usual northeast trade winds to light southeast Kona winds.

Forecasters say we can expect scattered and afternoon showers in leeward areas today. We may begin seeing umid and voggy conditions Friday and Saturday on Oahu.

The first cold front should reach Kauai Sunday, then move southeast over the rest of the islands in the early part of the week, bringing widespread rain and the chance of snow over Hawaii island summits through the beginning of next week. Trade winds should return later in the week.

Forecasters say heavy rains are possible at Aloha Stadium Sunday afternoon when the Pro Bowl is scheduled to be played.
