Alan Wong’s restaurant tops the list of most popular Hawaii restaurants in Zagat’s newly released Hawaii Guide. La Mer at the Halekulani took the lead spots in the "Top Food," "Top Service" and "Top Decor" rankings, while Wai­ola Bakery & Shave Ice was No. 1 in the "Best Buys" category.

Other popular restaurants include Assagio (ranked second), Big City Diner (third), Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar (fourth) and 3660 on the Rise (fifth).

Other picks, by cuisines, were town (American), Helena’s (Hawaiian), Hy’s (steakhouses), Alan Wong’s (Hawaii regional), Little Village Noodle House (Chinese) and Highway Inn (diners).

Meanwhile, Sansei in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa was also recognized as a 2012 Fodor’s Choice selection.
