Give Christmas gift to a needy child
The public may drop off gift items for the international Operation Christmas Child program at several church sites on Oahu until Sunday or Monday.
During the program’s national collection week, which started Nov. 12, volunteers will also fill shoe boxes with donated Christmas gifts for needy children worldwide. About 30,500 boxes this year will be delivered by sponsor Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization. The annual program has reached more than 100 million children since 1993, according to a news release. Visit www.samaritanspurse.org/occ for more information.
