Rare surgery by Shriners saves leg of girl from Samoa

Four-year-old Grace Runa Taiala Misipati from Naagao Village in Samoa had a rare surgery to remove a tumor and the midshaft of the tibia in her right leg, which was replaced with the fibula from her left leg at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu in Makiki. With Grace on Tuesday were her mother, Malaga Misipati, and Dr. Arabella Leet, chief of staff at Shriners.
