Maui officer hit by truck, treated and released
A Maui police officer suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a truck while patrolling a Friday Town Party event in Paia Friday night.
According to police, the officer was walking along Baldwin Avenue near Hana Highway around 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by the passing truck.
The officer was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.
