Maui County rescuers assist lost hikers on Makawao trail
Maui County fire officials said rescue personnel escorted three lost hikers from a Makawao trail Sunday night.
No injuries were reported.
Rescue crews were sent to two locations — Kahakapao Road and Makanani Road — just before 8 p.m. to assist three hikers.
Firefighters hiked about a mile into the trail and located the two women and a man.
