3 arrested in road rage incident in Kailua-Kona
Hawaii County police are looking for witnesses to a reported road rage incident Wednesday in Kailua-Kona.
Police said the 42-year-old female driver of a maroon Jeep honked at the male driver of a blue sedan after it allegedly cut her off, while leaving the Kona Commons shopping center on Makala Boulevard, police said.
The 31-year-old Kailua-Kona man and his passenger, his 30-year-old wife, got out of the sedan and allegedly confronted the woman driver at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the woman sustained a small puncture wound to her forehead, and the Jeep’s passenger door was damaged.
Police arrested the sedan driver on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and criminal property damage. His wife was arrested on suspicion of assault and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
The Jeep driver was arrested on suspicion of assault.

No one required medical treatment, police said.
All three were taken to the Kona cellblock.
