Police seize electronic gambling machines in Kinau Street raid
Police recovered five electronic gambling machines and numerous expensive wallets and bags during a raid Friday on a suspected game room on Kinau Street.
Officers believed that illegal drug sales were taking place in the alleged game room and that stolen property was being traded for drugs, police said.
Officers served a search warrant about 7 p.m. and found crystal methamphetamine glass pipes, baggies with residue and other drug paraphernalia. Officers also found the gaming machines, cash, empty high-end wallets, bags, and hotel key cards.
During the search, a 34-year-old Makiki man was arrested at 1427 Kinau St. for two-drug offenses.
