UH hoops team loses fifth player
The University of Hawaii men’s basketball has lost another player, guard Orel Lev, an athletic department spokesman confirmed today.
Lev, a 6-foot, 4-inch freshman from Tel Aviv, Israel, redshirted last season and would have had four years of eligibility remaining.
He is at least the fifth player from the 2011-12 roster with eligibility remaining who will not return.
Previously, guards Bobby Miles and Shaquille Stokes and forwards Joston Thomas and Trevor Wiseman all said they would not be returning.
According to a UH spokesman, head coach Gib Arnold said Lev’s departure was related to his military commitment.
