Woman seriously injured in mo-ped crash on Maui
A 60-year-old woman from California was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when the mo-ped she was operating apparently went over a guardrail in Honokohau Valley.
Medics found the woman, who was wearing a helmet, about 15 feet off the highway suffering from multiple traumatic injuries.
The woman was transported via ambulance to Napili Park then transferred to a helicopter that flew her to a local trauma center.
