About 800 customers in Kapalama Heights are without power after a garbage truck accidentally snagged some power lines this morning.
At about 8:30 a.m., the truck snared some wires and pulled down a utility pole, blocking the roadway at the 1700 block of Skyline Drive, according to Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig.
Hawaiian Electric Co. Spokesman Darren Pai said repair crews are at the scene.
